KIRBY SHAW has made a major impact in the field of choral music education and has shared his expertise in 44 states, Canada, Australia, the Bahamas, Sweden and the Netherlands. Dr. Shaw's compositions/arrangements are sung around the world and have sold million of copies. This prolific output has resulted in numerous ASCAP awards. As a performer, Dr. Shaw has sung with such notables as Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau, Jon Hendricks and Mark Murphy, and his recently released CD The Other Side has drawn high praise. He is also the co-founder/chief arranger of Just 4 Kicks, a 4 man a cappella ensemble of West-coast vocal jazz educators/performers that pays homage to and is expanding upon the musical legacy of such groups as The Mills Brothers, The Four Freshmen and The Hi-Lo's. Shaw is also the trumpet player for Journey's End Jazz Band, a Dixieland band based in Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley where he and his wife reside.
