(Level IV) Up-tempo bop head based on the chord changes of a familiar tune. Features solos for piano, trumpet, guitar and trombone as well as a saxophone soli. Utilizes a variety of optional woodwind doubles in the saxophone section in ensemble with muted brass, reminiscent of Thad Jones' Fingers. Chart can be played effectively without these woodwind doubles as it was recorded by the Paolo Nonnis Big Band on USA Music Group Records. 8 Brass

KEITH BISHOP has toured nationally and internationally as saxophonist and arranger/composer in the big bands of both Buddy Rich and Woody Herman. He has served on the faculties of both Duquesne and Carnegie-Mellon Universities in Pittsburgh; and recently completed a series of orchestrations for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. For the last few years he has toured as a member of the pit orchestra for the Broadway show Cats. Mr. Bishop currently resides in the Southern California area where in adition to composing and arranging, he is active as a woodwind player in the LA studios. His credits include the big bands of Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Bill Watrous, Jack Sheldon, Tom Kubis, Mike Barone and Steve Huffstetter.
