Get 'em While They're Hot, by Jon Grier
Get 'em While They're Hot is in a moderately fast, even-8ths fusion style. Guitar 1 carries the theme throughout with Guitar 2 harmonizing. Guitar 3 is a chordal part, Guitar 4 plays an ostinato, and Guitar 5 reinforces the bass, playing another ostinato. Snare drum is played on the rim much of the time. The solo section for Guitar 1 and 2 is of fixed length and invites outside playing. It begins sparsely and becomes progressively busier and louder. Written for 5 guitars, bass and drums.

Memo From Pyramid by Kevin Brunkhorst
(Level IV) Memo From Pyramid welds a wide palette of modern jazz harmonies to a hip-hop beat.  The melodic layer and the accompaniment layer work in contrast to each other.  There is lots of rhythmic displacement in the accompaniment, and more in the backing for the drum solo.  Overall the vibe should be smooth and relaxed. (5 Guitars, Bass & Drums)

Sprained by Kevin Brunkhorst
(Level IV) Sprained is a challenging piece, mostly in 11/8 time, with strong elements of the Mahavishnu Orchestra.  The solo section uses an altered blues form, and the drum solo is over a very difficult asymmetrical vamp.
(5 Guitars, Bass & Drums)
