(Level III) A very happy version inspired by Sinatra's famous recording. The bass leads in with everyone on words right off the bat. There are fun syncopations and falls in the chorus with a half-step modulation and no pivot chord (a sort of key 'slam'). Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week quoted in the tag. BOB MARTIN is a singer and bass player hailing from the Boston area. As a singer, he recorded three CDs for Nippon/Columbia/DENON while with the Boston based jazz vocal group The Ritz. The Ritz toured the U.S., Europe and Japan extensively, appearing in such festivals as the Newport Jazz Festival in Madarao, Japan and the Jazz a Vienne festival in France, opening for the Count Basie Orchestra. He has written extensively for TTBB cross-voiced a cappella groups. He continues to perform in the Boston area as a bass player and also performs in a piano, bass, voice jazz duo with his wife, Sharon Broadley-Martin. He attended Berklee College of Music, where he studied with Charlie Sorrento, Bob Stoloff, and Dr. Steven Prosser.
