(Level IV) A medium-up swing arrangement, featuring a challenging five-part scat soli section. Features an open section with opportunities to improvise over the changes. The very end of the chart is a cappella and rubato with suggested six-part voicings and has bass notes down to low Eb. The soprano goes to an A and the rhythm section parts are intermediate level. Demo recordings are by a sextet of singers from Gold Company at Western Michigan University.

MATT FALKER is currently on the jazz faculty at the University of Southern California and California State University, Northridge, where he directs vocal jazz ensembles and teaches jazz piano and other related classes. His previous positions include Cal State Fullerton, Orange County High School of the Arts, Fullerton College and Purdue Musical Organizations at Purdue University. He also taught at Hamilton High School Academy of Music (a Los Angeles music magnet program) and directed Jazz Incorporated, the Academy's award-winning vocal jazz ensemble. The ensemble released three CD's and received two consecutive Down Beat Magazine DB National Awards for best high school vocal jazz ensemble. Mr. Falker alto teaches private jazz piano and voice. A native of northern Michigan, Mr. Falker received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo in jazz piano and his master's degree from the University of Southern California in jazz voice. He was also a member of WMU's widely acclaimed Gold Company and performed on numerous recordings with them. Mr. Falker works with high school and college choirs in the United States and Canada and is currently the showchoir and vocal jazz clinician for the International Music Camp in North Dakota each summer. Currently, he is vocal jazz representative on the SCVA Executive Board and he also coaches vocals and conducts pit orchestras for musical productions.
