ANDREW GROBENGIESER, a native of Altamont, IL, received degrees from Millikin University and the University of Texas at Austin where he served as assistant instructor in music theory. He won the downbeat magazine award for original composition in 1991. Andy has spent the past six years on tour as the musical director for various Broadway musicals, including Smokey Joe's Cafe, Miss Saigon and currently, The Lion King. When not on the road, he resides in New York City.
