KIM GAST is on the faculty at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota where he directs the jazz ensembles and teaches saxophone. He has received arranging awards from down beat magazine and has had works supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. He received his Doctor of Arts degree at the University of Northern Colorado in saxophone performance and jazz pedagogy. Kim is active as a freelance musician in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
