The opening and closing of this chart are in a "crunchy chord" ballad style that soon opens into a 6/8 All Blues feel. This is definitely a feature piece that could be broken into more than one solo. The scat section could and should be opened up to more than one verse. This section was orginally done three times through: First as written, Second with two simultaneous scats and Third as two scats with no backgrounds. Experiment and make it your own.
