(8 Brass) Commissioned by the Ressurected Swing Big Band in Fort Collins, CO, this arrangement is based loosely on the well-known recording by Ella Fitzgerald with the Oscar Peterson Trio. The vocal part lies comfortably within the alto register, and includes an optional improvised solo (which can alternatively be given to the tenor sax). The sax soli, with the melody doubled in the vocal part, is constructed from Ella Fitzgerald's original scat solo. This chart is within the grasp of good high school ensembles, and is easily playable by university groups. Key of C.
