ALF CLAUSEN received his training at North Dakota State University, the University of Wisconsin and Boston's Berklee College of Music earning degrees in arranging and composition. He began his musical career as a hornist and bassist going on to become an instructor at Berklee College of Music. He has written for several major television series including: Moonlighting, Lime Street, Partners in Crime, Wizards and Warriors and Fame. He served as musical director, composer and arranger for the television variety shows: The Donny and Marie Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Variety Hour. His compositions and orchestrations have highlighted many feature films including Splash, Micki and Maude, Weird Science, Into the Night, Mr. Mom and Airplane II: The Sequel. Alf has also arranged for the bands of Buddy Rich, Ray Charles, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman and Thad Jones/Mel Lewis.
