This arrangement is an excellent vehicle for teaching swing rhythms and articulations. It has a good balance of unison and part singing; and is only moderate difficulty. You'll love the energy and flowing articulated lines in this piece.

GLEN HALLS has won several national and international awards for composition, and is an extremely active recording artist and jazz musician. He taught at the University of Victoria and the University of Calgary before spending a number of years at York University in Toronto where he served as Director of the Jazz Studies Program and led the contemporary improvisation studio. Dr. Halls left the University setting in 2000 to re-enter the field of professional music making and to independently pursue research interests in the areas of aesthetics and philosophy of music, internet-based learning and special education. He is presently the Director of the Institute for Contemporary Music and Jazz in Edmonton, Canada.
