FRANK FERRIANO is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where, for twenty-three years, he headed the Jazz Studies Program and developed courses in jazz education and popular music history, as well as coordinating an annual jazz festival. In 1990 his Fanfare for Orchestra was one of six chosen to be performed by the Milwaukee Symphony as part of a Fanfare competition among Wisconsin composers. Frank currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin and Sarasota, Florida where he is spending a busy retirement as an arranger/composer. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Sarasota Music Archive.
