A vocal adaptation of the Basie Band's Count 'Em, this arrangement features three vocalese solos performed by three females (or by two females and a male soloist). With powerful dynamic changes, "horn" hits and a swinging shout section, this is classic Basie. SATB (soprano require a high Bb) with rhythm.

JEFF HALL is a jazz vocalist and arranger residing in Nashville, TN. He has arranged for numerous vocal groups and individual artists both professional and amateur as well as for his own ensembles at the Nashville Jazz Workshop where he is an instructor of vocal jazz and improvisation. Jeff received his bachelor's degree in jazz/commercial performance from Towson University in Maryland and continued his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has performed with the vocal jazz group, After Hours, at the Montreux and North Sea Jazz Festivals and other venues across Europe. His first CD as a solo artist entitled, Let's Face the Music, debuted in December of 2003 with his second release slated for Summer 2005.
