TAYLOR BARNETT studied arranging and composition with Doug Richards while pursuing his unergraduate degree in jazz performance at Virginia Commonwealth University. As a trumpeter, he has performed with the Woody Herman Band, the Dorsey Brothers Band, the John D'asth Group as well as Latin, funk and avant-garde groups around Viriginia and Washington , D.C. He is currenlty serving as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University teaching trumpet and directing Jazz Orchestra II while pursuing a master's degree in classical trumpet performance.
