BOB ALCIVAR studied composition and piano at Seattle's Cornish College under Stephen Balough. He formed The Signatures in Seattle, then encouraged by jazz promoter, D. J. Norm Bobrow and Stan Kenton, they went on the road to jazz clubs around the country. The group recorded two albums for Warner Brothers in New York and one for Gene Norman in Hollywood. He has arranged extensively for the 5th Dimension (awarded ten gold records and one platinum), New Christy Minstrels, The Association, Sandpipers and The Manhattan Transfer. He has complete orchestrations for Jack Jones, Sergio Mendez, Tom Waits, Bette Midler, the Beach Boys, Peter Allen and most recently, Pandora's Box for Geffen Records. Bob has also scored two films, Butterflies are Free and an additional underscore for One From the Heart both of which received academy nominations. Currently, Bob is involved in composing scores for network movies and organizing experimental vocal groups.
