JIM CIFELLI is a composer, arranger and trumpet player based in New York City. Jim received a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from New York University and a Master of Music in Jazz Composition from the Manhattan School of Music. His compositions and arrangement have been performed by numerous professional and student ensembles including the Stuttgart Radio Orchestra in Germany. Jim leads and composes for his own group, The New York Nonet. The Nonet's debut CD "Bullet Trane" was relased in January, 1998 and features Jim's original compositions as well as arrangements of several jazz standards.
