Description About the Composer

TALL & LANKY • BIG BAND CHART comp. Jeff Coffin / arr. Bret Zvacek, Difficulty Level: IV, Trumpet Range: C#6.
Parts Included: full score, 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, piano, bass, drums, guitar.

A traditional blues form with a couple of odd time bars thrown in for good measure. This tune has a New Orleans "Second Line" groove and can feature any amount of soloists in the band. (And usually does!) This is a great chart to open or close your performance with and has been one of Jeff's most popular and sought after charts.

Tall & Lanky can be heard on Jeff Coffin's big band recording THE INSIDE OF THE OUTSIDE
and on his solo recording GO ROUND - both on Ear Up Records.
