(Level 3) An a cappella treatment of Leonard Bernstein's composition was commissioned by Professor Donald P. Lang and the State University of New York at Fredonia Chamber Singers. The ballad has long been revered by jazz musicians and Broadway singers, and this arrangement draws from the quintessential recording of the song by singer Tony Bennett and jazz piano great Bill Evans. Directors and students alike will be touched by the gorgeous Comden and Green lyrics ("Where has the time all gone to? Haven't done half the things we ought to. Oh well; we'll catch up SOME OTHER TIME"). This is an emotional show-stopper! SSAATTBB a cappella.

FRED STURM is chair of the Eastman School of Music Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media Department, directs the Eastman Jazz Ensemble and Studio Orchestra and administers the Eastman jazz composition/arranging and film scoring program. His jazz compositions and arrangements have been performed by Bobby mcFerrin, Wynton Marsalis, Bob Brookmeyer, Clark Terry, Zoot Sims, Phil Woods and Diane Reeves; are published by UNC Jazz Press.
