The composition is great: variations over 9 in many styles. One of my favorite big band compositions/arrangements. Di Scala's editing includes incredibly useful information; I could not wish for better editing. The rating reflects these features specifically.
My gripe comes with the packaging and paper for the score. The score was bent in order to fit the box. It looks as if the score document were generated electronically (good), printed, and copied (bad) onto glossy paper. Also, as helpful as the binding is, it is not the correct size.
