Description About the Composer
 
(Level 5) This contemporary concert piece was premiered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Jazz Ensemble I at the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association conference in 2008.  It features a balladesque melody wrapped in a gradually accelerating (tempo changes) and energizing framework. The piece features flugelhorn soloist (Tpt 4). All trumpets double flugel. No saxophone doubles.
