Description About the Composer

(Level IV) “Looking Back” is a dark, romantic medium waltz that uses extensive doubling and contemporary orchestration. As the parts are all very individualistic, this piece offers a fun challenge to all players in the ensemble. Though this piece is not as technically challenging as some, the doubles and cross-section writing demand in –tune playing and balance. If this is accomplished, the result is a very beautiful, colorful, and highly enjoyable experience. 8 Brass
