Description About the Composer

(Level III) ( 8 Brass) 12th & EDGEHILL • BIG BAND CHART comp. Jeff Coffin / arr. Ryan Middagh - Trumpet Range: Bb5
Parts Included: full score, tenor sax, piano

An up tempo and intense Latin/Swing chart to challenge your ensemble and an open solo section to feature any member of the band. This tune was inspired by the Carter-Lawrence Elementary Magnet School in Nashville where Jeff substitute taught shortly after moving there in 1991. He was so inspired by the connection between the students and the teachers he named the tune after their cross streets!
12th & Edgehill can be heard on Jeff Coffin's big band recording THE INSIDE OF THE OUTSIDE and on his debut solo recording OUTSIDE THE LINES - both on Ear Up Records
