Description About the Composer

(8 Brass) Woodwind doubles (flute and clarinet) are used in part of the Alto II and Tenor II parts. Arranged from the opening track of Pat Metheny's album, The Road to You, Have You Heard is both challenging and fun to play. The groove is an ECM straight 8th feel that seamlessly works its way through various time signatures. The solo section inlcudes optional repeats for additional solos and also features a drum solo near the end of the chart. Have You Heard will certainly be a favorite of both the band and the audience creating a high energy and exciting musical statement.
