BART MARANTZ is Director of Jazz Studies at the Arts Magnet High School is Dallas, Texas. He did his undergraduate work at Indiana University and the University of Miami, Florida, where he studied with David Baker, Jamey Aebersold, Jerry Coker and Dan Haerle. He received his master's degree in Afro-American jazz music at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. He has toured with a variety of shows including Ray Charles, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and others. Bart is a clinician for the Selmer Company.
