Description About the Composer

(Level IV) A 12/8 shuffle with a touch of R & B and jazz. The "Stevie" is Steve Ray Vaughn, from whom the groove was borrowed. The solo section could feature guitar or tenor saxophone with backgrounds in the style. After the solos, there is an exciting ensemble section without rhythm section, where the horns are pitted against the baritone sax. The ranges are all within a high school level, with optional 8va sections cued in the lead trumpet. 8 Brass
