(8 Brass) This is a 24-bar minor blues chart that features a simple blues melody with a Horace Silver-like piano/bass ostinato. It gives plenty of easy blowing space for soloists of all levels. It also presents some challenging rhythmic ensemble sections for your band and will be a workout for your brass section and drummer. Features: Baritone Saxophone (opt. DAVID GIBBLE, trumpeter and arranger/composer, is currently Associate Professor of Music at Palm Beach Community College where he directs the instrumental music and jazz programs. He hold a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester University (PA) and a Master of Music from the University of Northern Texas in Jazz Studies where he played with the award-winning One O'Clock Lab and Two O'Clock Lab Bands. Mr. Gibble performs all over South Florida as a freelance trumpeter appearing regularly with Duffy Jackson and His Swinging New Big Band, the Bob Hoose Orchestra and the Jazz Rats Big Band as well as with the Brass Renaissance Quintet.
