Description About the Composer

An infectious Brazilian-influenced composition written by Pat Metheny for his 1989 album Letter from Home. This arrangement opens with an optional free solo for piano or other instrument before slipping into a medium-fast even-8th tempo. Primarily a feature for the instrumentalists of an SATBB vocal jazz ensemble, with vocalists playing a lush supporting role. Contains a short written solo for tenor vocal with keyboard and/or alto sax. SATBB with rhythm section, guitar and alto saxophone.
