A composition in the style of Take Six, but much easier to learn. Surprising jazz harmony changes on uh-syllables. Very contemplative and a nice change for a normally vacuous repertoire. SSAA a cappella.

MARTINA FREYTAG is an Associate Professor at Jazzschool in Basel, Switzerland and former Head of the Voice Department at Jazz and Rock Schule in Freiburg, where she built her private voice studio, "Stimming." She studied at Hoschschule für Musik in Weimar, Germany; the American Institute of Music in Vienna, Austria and Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Her many awards and scholarhsips include two German Endowment Grants, a Fulbright Scholarhip and a Berklee Scholarship. A well-known jazz singer, clinician and composer (including two staged musicals), she has written articles about singing and choir work; and authored vocal jazz education books such as Vocal and Jazz Improvisation (Kurt Maas Musikverlag), Vocal Training (AMA Verlag), Wenn ich ein Vöglein Wär--German Traditionals in Jazz Choir Arrangements (Gustav Bosse Verlag), Like the First Morning--International Traditionals in Jazz Choir Arrangements (Gustav Bosse Verlag), La donna è mobile--Classical Pieces in Jazz Choir Arrangements (Gustav Bosse Verlag), Top of Pop (Musikverlag Bosworth) and Singnatur (Cantus Mundi AG).
