Sax Combo - (Level IV) This arrangement of Herbie Hancock’s classic tune, Speak Like A Child, is scored
for five saxophones (sattb) and standard rhythm section (piano, bass, & drums). There is a solo
section which allows any combination of improvisers and backgrounds for the
alto solo. A soli section follows soloists and concludes with a slow, pyramid
ending. An advanced chord progression and detailed section writing is perfect
for a strong saxophone section and as a contrast to concert programming.
