(10 Brass, with 5th trumpet and 5th trombone optional) A wild jazz shuffle that really gets rockin' and rollin'. Tricky melody line for saxophones on the head. Lots of quick dynamic contrasts for the ensemble. Trombone solo builds to a roarin' climax with ensemble shouting over him a la Basie. Lead trumpet gets a good workout on the shout chorus. A very effective opener for a hot band. Recorded on UNC's Alive XIII.
