(9 Brass) A slow jazz waltz. This piece was written for and premiered by Canadian Flugelhorn player Kenny Wheeler. The chart features flugel and piano with optional voice and vibraphone parts. A great melody with some nice ensemble writing. Doubles include Alto I on Clarinet and Tenor I on Soprano.

GREG RUNIONS is a graduate of Queen's University and the Crane School of Music. He currently resides in Kingston, Ontario, a small community between Toronto and Montreal. He is active teaching at Queen's University and performing in a variety of situations. For the past five years, he has lead his own self-titled big band. The ensemble is dedicated to the creation and performance of new music for the large jazz ensemble. With support from the Canada Council and the Ontario Arts Council, they have presented several concerts of original compositions for the big band. Included in these performances have been new works by the great Canadian jazz artists Kenny Wheeler, John MacLeod, Don Thompson, Dave Barton and Mike Murley. Greg's CD But Not Forgotten features guest artist, Kenny Wheeler, in a program of compositons by some of Canada's leading young jazz artists.
