(10 Brass) Coming Through Slaughter is the opening movement of a suite inspired by Michael Ondaatje's novel, a portrayal of the life of Buddy Bolden. This intense and challenging, straight eighth note movement features extended space for tenor saxophone and trumpet. Two French Horn parts include alternate parts for two flugelhorns.
