Description About the Composer

(Level IV) A mystical sounding piece in a slow 5/4. A combination of electronics, East Indian instruments, and a wordless choir make this a very atmospheric chart that will leave a unique impression on your audience. The writing is fairly easy, yet effective and features trumpet. Used in Cyberjam, the follow-up to the award-winning stage show, Blast! This piece is literally electronic, not mic'd. A Don Ellis Critical Edition (Critical Editor Nick Di Scala) WW Doubles (Reed 1: Electric Flute, Reed 1 Alt: Electric Flute, Sop. Sax., Reed 2: Electric Flute, Reed 2 Alt: Electric Alto Sax, Reed 3: Electric Flute, Piccolo, Reed 3 Alt: Electric Tenor Sax, Reed 4: Electric Flute, Reed 4 Alt: Electric Flute, Tenor Sax, Reed 5: Electric Flute, Reed 5 Alt: Electric Baritone Sax, Solo Trpt, 7 Brass plus Tuba (4 Trumpets, 3 Bones), Sitar, Tamboura, Drums 1, 2, 3, & 4, and Choir (SATB). 9 Brass
