(Level IV) But Not For Me is not only a reharmonization of the standard but also a complete restructuring of the melody and form.  The melody is still recognizable but fragmented and the harmony is for the most part modal and does not rely on standard jazz harmony.  The feel should be in the style of Bright Size Life era of Pat Metheny with the drums and soloist leading the dynamics for the solo section.  With demanding rhythmic passages and challenging harmony this chart is best suited for a more advanced ensemble.  (5 guitars, Bass & Drums)
