ED XIQUES received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Boston University and is active in the New York area as a saxophonist and woodwind player. Ed has performed and/or recorded with many artists including Jaki Byard, Herb Pomeroy, Woody Herman, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis (1971-78), Bill Watrous Manhattan Wildlife Refuge, Ten Wheel Drive, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Sammy Davis, Jr., Toshiko Akiyoshi, McCoy Tyner and Maria Schneider. He is an active member of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop and the BMI Jazz Composers Orchestra. Ed has released two quartet albums of original music entitled Little Bear and Spacewalk on Edex Records available from North Country Distributors, Redwood, New York.
