(9 Brass) This is a "busy" medium funk tune with solos for synth (or guitar), trumpet (optional) and soprano sax. Melody for guitar, soprano and trumpet with a trumpet solo. The form is a modified minor blues with many vamps. Record by the Kansas City Boulevard Big Band on Take Only for Pain CD.

CHUCK TUMLINSON is Director of Jazz Studies Cal State Fullerton. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas and Wichita State University. While at North Texas, Chuck performed as the jazz trumpet soloist in the One O'Clock Lab Band. Chuck has also performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, Louis Bellson and Al Jarreau.
