Description About the Composer
 
(Level V) Originally written in jazz combo form, specifically for trombone quartet, plus guitar, bass, and drums. It was later re-arranged for jazz orchestra and underwent some revisions as well. The final product earned Brian an honorable mention in the 2003 Downbeat Student Music Awards in the "Best Song" category. The instrumentation is 5,4,4,5 including vibraphone and the trumpet written range is high C. The chart includes some metric modulation and odd meters. But despite its rhythmic complexity, it is still very melodic. 8 Brass
