(Level 5) This sensuous a cappella ballad for six voices was inspired by Carmen McRae's pereformance. The arrangment features a sultry alto solo and a solo bass line which imitates the sound and syllables of an acoustic bass. The other accompanying voices move in rich harmonies, often in a double-time feel. SSATB a cappella.

SKIP WILKINS is from Boston where he led numerous ensembles whose members included percussionists Bob Moses and Joe Hunt, and saxophonists John Laporta and Jimmy Mosher. After completing a degree at Holy Cross College, Skip studied jazz composition and arranging at Berklee College of Music, where he later taught. He completed a master's degree at the University of Northern Colorado where he was a teaching assistant in the Jazz Studies Program. He then stayed on as full-time staff at the University of Northern Colorado in the Theory/Composition Department and the Jazz Studies Program.
