(Level 4) The challenge here is in counting. The main theme is 4/4 and 5/4 and there are many meter changes throughout. Solo feature for piano. Flute doubles for soprano and tenor, clarinet for bari, flugelhorn for 3rd trumpet.

SCOTT WHITFIELD completed the Master of Music degree in jazz studies at North Texas State University. Scott recorded several of his arrangements with the One O'Clock Lab Band as well as with the Collection Jazz Orchestra. His recording of GDay, Mates! is well known in the U.K. Scott has performed and/or recorded withmany artisits, including: Nat Adderley, Nick Brignola, Carl Fontanta, Sam Rivers, The Spinners, Mel Torme, Clark Terry, Barry Manilow and the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra. Mr. Whitfield currently resides in Manhattan and works as a freelance trombone player.
