ROGER TREECE has earned a reputation as a composer, arranger, and director of the highest standard. As a student at UNC, he earned numerous down beat magazine awards for his performing and arranging. He also produced and was a featured performer on Hot IV, the only college vocal jazz record ever to be nominated for a Grammy Award. In 1992, his groups at the University of Washington earned the distinction of being the first school ever to take a first place sweep of the Vocal Jazz categories in the down beat magazine Student Recording Awards. Roger's current work includes producing, arranging and performing with his own group, Full Voice, on Mark Murphy's latest release. Roger makes his home in Seattle where he produces and teaches Vocal Jazz and Music Technology at Bellevue Community College.
