Akira Sato is the dirctor of the Meadows Jazz Orchestra at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and an instructor of jazz arranging at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. He received a master's degree in jazz arranging from the UNT, wehre he was a member of the One O'Clock Lab Band and directed the Three O'Clock Lab Band.
