Description
 

(Level IV) Aarji-Bi – This unique piece is set in a straight 8th groove that is neither Latin nor ECM.  It features raga-esque collections of notes and some fascinating polytonal sections.  It is highly linear in nature and includes solo sections for pairs (tbn/tpt and sop/tnr).  Originally recorded on “Chamber Jazz Ensemble” by Wil Swindler and Stephen Smith’s group of the same name.  8 Brass, Alto 1 doubles on Soprano.
