A beautiful setting of the famous poem Footprints in the Sand, this dense and lush original composition tells a story with each phrase; starting with a dream, moving into feelings of frustration, and ending in quiet rapture. Repeated motifs keep this chamber piece flowing with a longing four part men's chorus in call and response with the women. Tenor's soar to a high A above the staff.

CORY CUNNINGHAM teaches middle school music in Cameron Park, CA. He holds Undergraduate and Master's Degrees in trombone performance and music education from California State University - Sacramento having performed in nearly every style on the trombone as well as vocally while in school. Cory is a freelance trombonist in the greater Sacramento area and a singer in the not-for-profit Sacramento-based chamber ensemble Reconciliation Singers Voices of Peace (RSVP) under the direction of Julie Adams. Cory also sang for Kerry Marsh in the Sacramento State Jazz Singers winning a Down Beat award for Best Vocal Jazz Group and performing in Long Beach for the 2005 International Association for Jazz Education Conference.
