This straight-ahead, slow to medium swing chart features a soloist, either male or female with a rubato section up front as well as a section within the tune. Reminiscent of the Count Basie Band with some challenging chords. A fun chart to sing. No separate rhythm parts. Chord changes are included in the vocal parts. SATB with rhythm.

KIRK MARCY is currently the head of the Jazz Studies Program at Edmonds Community College, where he directs the internationally acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble Soundsation, as well as teaching Music Fundamentals, Jazz History, and Vocal Jazz Solo Singing classes. Kirk has also taught both instrumental and vocal music at the junior and senior high school levels in the Lake Washington School District in Kirkland, Washington. Kirk's performing experience includes singing bass vocals and playing keyboards and brass for the Four Freshmen, and more recently, singing with a new a cappella group, Just 4 Kicks. In 1983, Kirk received his Bachelor of Music Education degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Northern Colorado, where he was a member of UNC Vocal Jazz I.
