Up-tempo samba which has solos for soprano (Alto I), piano, percussion and drum set. Also, lots of ensemble writing to keep everybody awake. This one really cooks. A good encore tune.

CHRIS CULVER directs jazz ensembles and teaches music theory and composition at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He has appeared as a guest soloist, clinician and adjudicator at many high school and college jazz festivals throughout the United States. Culver received his Bachelor of Music degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and both his master's and doctorate in music theory and composition from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. Dr. Culver also has compositions published by the International Trombone Association Manuscript Press and Kagarice Brass Editions.
