(10 Brass) (Level 4) An arrangement of the popular Mike Stern fusion classic. This chart gives the band a chance to stretch out in a modern fusion style. Solo sections for trombone and tenor are followed by a soli section for the whole band that culminates in a challenging bass trombone passage. STEVE WIEST received his undergraduate degree in jazz studies from the University of Southern Mississippi, after which he performed for four years as featured trombonist/composer/arranger with the Maynard Ferguson Band. Upon leaving Maynard, he went on to receive his Master of Music degree from North Texas State University, where he wrote for and played in the One O'Clock Lab Band. Steve has taught at the University of Texas at Arlington and is now Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.
