Description About the Composer

Que Bueno Baila Usted (Castellano) - (Level IV) Arranged for SSAATTB a cappella jazz choir in Eb, inspired by the track originally in Db on the CD “Una Forma Mas” by the group “Vocal Sampling” on the Sire/Elektra label (#61792-2, released 1995). The legendary Cuban bandleader Beny Moré had composed, performed, and recorded this 2-3 clave work for his band, which had inspired Vocal Sampling to do their a cappella take on it, including the vocal percussion sounds represented in this arrangement. The Spanish lyrics are presented phonetically for the choir so that none need understand Spanish, but the Spanish lyrics appear at the end of the score. The title compliments: “How well you dance!” And your audience will want to dance when they hear your ensemble perform this exciting composition..
