This is a romping composition in 3/4 time. Beginning of chart has 16 measures of rubato a cappella singing on the bridge then jumps into the first "A" with an a cappella music box effect. The second AABA is called the quote section because of the overture-like effect of many tunes rolled into one over the changes of Never Never Land. After the AABA section for solo purposes, the entire ensemble enters at the bridge which leads to a new key on last "A" of the tune. This proves to be a driving show opener. SHARON BROADLEY was the lead vocalist and principal composer/arranger for the Boston-based vocal group, The Ritz. She has performed at the Sea-Jazz Festival in Helsinki, the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, the Newport Jazz Festival in Madarao, Japan and the Jazz A Vienne Festival with the Count Basie Orchestra in France to name a few. She was a featured clinician at the 1985 NAJE Convention in Atlanta, Georgia and has since been adjudicating and preparing fresh, exciting material for clinics around the country.
