MORGAN AMES is a vocal arranger, composer, lyricist, singer, producer, keyboard player, publisher and contractor. Specialties include vocal arranging, leader/arranger of the a cappella group Inner Voices, album and vocal production, coaching and consultation and Finale engraving. Credits include producing the double-Grammy-winning Diane Schuur & the Count Basie Orchestra, (No. 1 on Billboard jazz charts for 32 weeks). Vocal arrangement and/or producing for the Charlie Brown TV Special, Nenna Freelon/Take 6 (Grammy), Bette Midler, David Benoit, Dori Caymmi, Marvin Hamlish, Alan and Marilyn Bergman and Dionne Warwick. Co-wrote Baretta's Theme with Dave Grusin. Her songs have been recorded by Diane Schuur, Peggy Lee, Shirley Horn, Barbara Mandrell and Roberta Flack. Vocal Contractor for Celine Dion, God Bless America, LeAnn Rimes (Olympics Opening Ceremony), Richard Carpenter and David Foster. She has performed and/or recorded with Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Airto, Flora Purim, Mariah Carey, Chaka Kahn, Wynonna and Frank Sinatra. She has sung in King Kong, Spider-Man2, Matrix Revolutions and Reloaded, Van Helsing, Accordning to Jim (TV), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (TV), and Sister Act I & II.
