(8 Brass) This 70's inspired funk-rock chart begins with a "horns alone" intro which leads into a catchy melody played first by the brass and again by the saxes following a funky "B" section. No solo sections and every part from lead trumpet to 4th trombone is interesting. The rhythm section will have a blast laying down the groove which is easy to play but sounds mature. Piano, bass and drums are written out.

MARK THOME, currently a resident of Olympia, Washington is an active composer, arranger and clarinet/saxophone player in the Puget Sound area. He studied composition with Greg Youtz and Ingrahm Marshal and received a Bachelor of Arts in Composition from The Evergreen State College. He is the composer-in-residence for SOGO (Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia). Mark has composed and arranged for a variety of groups including The Evergreen Brass Quintet, The SOGO Brass Choir, SOGO Academy Orchestra, SOGO Conservatory Orchestra, and The Groovin' Higher Jazz Orchestra. Mark writes, arranges and plays Tenor in The Olympia Jazz Senators. He also composed an opera with librettists Rex Stewart and Blair Stewart.
